The skin around the eyes is thin. Cotton grips. Satin is usually polyester with a shine. Mulberry silk creates up to 43% less friction than cotton, so the mask is not writing lines into you while you sleep. Moisture stays closer to the skin. Serums are less likely to vanish into the fabric.

The Cloud is contoured and softly padded. It stands a little off the lashes, so extensions, and anyone who finds a flat mask too close, have room. Audrey is the classic silk eye mask: lighter on the face, the same 6A cloth, the one you pick when you want a colour to live with. Both are 22 momme. Both come ready to give.

A flat mask can bend lashes into the pillow. The Cloud is cut to hover. The outer cloth is still 100% mulberry silk. The padding is a soft polyester fibre, there to hold the shape, not to sit on the lid. If you have extensions, use your own judgement on length. For most nights, this is the kinder fit.
