HOW SHOULD I WASH MY SILK PILLOWCASE?

Our pillowcases are made from high-quality silk that is machine washable. To preserve softness and sheen:

Wash inside out on a delicate cycle

Use cold water or a maximum of 30°C

Always use a pH-neutral silk detergent

Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals

CAN I IRON MY SILK PILLOWCASE?

Yes, you can safely iron your silk pillowcase. We recommend turning it inside out and using a cool iron setting.

WHAT IS MOMME (MM) IN SILK FABRICS?

Momme is a traditional Japanese unit of weight used to measure silk density. A pillowcase made with 22 momme silk, like ours, contains 20% more silk per square inch than a 19 momme version. This means better durability, a smoother feel, and longer-lasting results for your hair and skin.

WHAT MAKES 22 MOMME SILK BETTER THAN OTHER TYPES?

22 momme silk is thicker, smoother, and more durable than lower weights like 19 momme. It not only feels more luxurious but also lasts longer and provides enhanced beauty benefits for your skin and hair.

IS SILK GOOD FOR HAIR LOSS OR FRIZZ CONTROL?

Yes. Sleeping on silk helps reduce friction, which in turn minimizes breakage, frizz, and split ends. Our 22 momme silk creates the ideal surface for maintaining healthy hair—especially beneficial for curly, textured, or chemically treated hair.

HOW MUCH DOES UK SHIPPING COST AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

We currently offer FREE standard shipping on all UK orders and dispatch within 24 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays). WHAT SIZES ARE SILK WORKS PILLOWCASES?

Our pillowcases are made to international standard sizes, ensuring a perfect fit for most pillow types:

Queen: 51cm x 76cm

King: 51cm x 92cm

Kids: 40cm x 60cm

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SILK AND SATIN PILLOWCASES?

Silk is a natural fibre, while satin is typically a synthetic weave. Only pure silk is naturally hypoallergenic, breathable, temperature-regulating, and gentle on hair and skin. Satin cannot offer the same health and beauty benefits. Learn more on our Benefits of Silk page.
